Garage Project - Rust-Oleum EPOXY SHIELD Garage Floor Coating

http://www.fuelculture.com We gave our Fuelculture Shop Garage a nice treatment with some Rust-Oleum EXPOY SHIELD for our floor so spills are easy to wipe up and we have a quality ascetic look. It was a good afternoon installation and the floor was dry within 72 hours and we started driving on it.


STEP 1:
Remove poorly-bonded previous paint using a floor scraper or concrete floor sander


STEP 2:
Clean the floor using fresh water and soap to clean up any loose dust or particles.

STEP 3:
Mix the supplied concrete etch with 2 gallons of water and mix until the solution is completely dissolved.


STEP 4:
Spread the etch mixture over the floor, then scrub vigorously with a stiff brush to loosen dust and dirt. Rinse the floor thoroughly and allow to dry.


STEP 5:
Mix the EXPOY SHIELD. Pour all of the contents of the can labeled "Part A" into the can labeled "Part B" and stir thoroughly for at least 3 minutes.


STEP 6:
Using a roller, apply an even coat of EXPOY SHIELD onto the surface. Apply in 4'x4' sections so that the decorative paint chips can be easily scattered.

STEP 7:
Fresh paint can be applied over any loose chips that lay outside of the previously painted areas. Only one coat is necessary.


NOTES:
Surface should be ready for light foot traffic in 12-16 hours.
For all cure and vehicle traffic, allow 3 days.
Temperature and humidity may affect dry time.
